Voting Begins for Madison Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors

Hey there, Madison! Exciting news is buzzing around town as the current members of the Madison Chamber of Commerce have just announced their slate of nominees for the upcoming 2024-2025 Board of Directors. If you’re a Chamber member, mark your calendars and get ready to exercise your right to vote!

What’s Happening?

The voting period kicks off this Sunday, September 15, and runs until October 1 at noon. This is your chance to have a say in the leadership and direction of the Chamber for the upcoming year. The nominees are looking to step in and lend their expertise in guiding local businesses and supporting the Madison community.

Meet the Nominees

Now let’s get to know the nominees better. Each brings unique skills and experiences that they aim to contribute to the Chamber:

  • Jeremy Gaertner, Chief Operations Officer at The Orthopaedic Center (TOC) — With a diverse role managing everything from marketing to regional clinical operations, Gaertner is all about collaboration with local hospitals and schools. His noteworthy contributions include significant expansion and partnership efforts throughout North Alabama. He’s a graduate of Louisiana Technical University and the University of Alabama in Huntsville, holding both MSN and RN credentials.

  • Joey Ceci, President of Breland Companies — Ceci has his hands full with exciting residential and mixed-use projects, including the development of Town Madison and Clift Farm. He’s also known for his previous role with the Madison County Commission, where he played a key part in recruiting major companies to the area.

  • Victor Vasile, Regional Divisional Counsel at Hexagon Safety, Infrastructure & Geospatial — Vasile heads the legal department for North America and has a strong background in commercial transactions and litigation. With a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Alabama, his legal acumen is a treasure for the Chamber.

  • Shauna Smiley, Branch Manager at United Community Bank — With over 30 years of leadership experience in retail banking, Smiley is a dedicated member of the community. She’s actively involved in supporting victims of domestic abuse through her work with a non-profit organization.
