Limestone County Coroner Confirms One Fatality in Lucas Ferry Road Wreck

LIMESTONE COUNTY, Ala. – Tragedy struck on Thursday afternoon in Limestone County, Alabama, as the Limestone County Coroner confirmed one fatality in a two-vehicle wreck on Lucas Ferry Road.
The incident took place around 12:34 PM at the intersection of Lucas Ferry Road and Malone Road, resulting in the loss of one life and leaving two others injured.
Details of the Accident:
Coroner Mike West disclosed that one individual was rushed to Athens Hospital following the collision. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, the individual succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead by an emergency department physician.
Two additional individuals involved in the wreck were transported to Huntsville Hospital for further medical treatment.
Investigation:
Authorities from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal wreck on Lucas Ferry Road. The objective of the investigation is to determine the cause of the accident and any contributing factors.
