The core of Studio 11’s product range is candles, but they are not your typical candles. Known for their quality, all candles in the studio are painstakingly handmade from 100% soy wax by Amy Houk, the owner of Studio 11. All wicks used in these candles are made from pure cotton, ensuring a clean, consistent burn and no harmful chemicals being released into your home environment.
A Menagerie of Fragrances
Accompanying the candles, Studio 11 also offers handmade wax melts and room sprays, always made with non-toxic clean fragrances, ensuring that they’re safe for skin and linens. Amy, who personally mixes these fragrances, says that one of the things she enjoys the most about her work is the process of creating new scent blends. She explains, “Aromatherapy is one of those nostalgic moments that can take you back to childhood memories.”
Amy’s Journey to Studio 11
Amy’s passion for candle-making was sparked over 20 years ago during her time living in Hawaii with her husband. Once her family began growing, and her husband decided to join the military, her passion project took a backseat. However, now that her children are grown up and she is settled in Huntsville, Amy is embracing the opportunity to pursue her dream full-time.
