HUNTSVILLE, Alabama – A prominent North Alabama institution for over two decades is preparing for a move. The Rocket City Boxing Gym, a cornerstone of the local community, will soon find its new home on Jordan Lane.
Operating in North Alabama for 20 years, the Rocket City Boxing Gym has solidified its place in the local community. The man in charge, Allen “Snoop” Martin, a well-known name locally, shared his sentiments around the gym’s move.
He stated, “I want to thank my mom for getting me into this gym 20 years ago,” emphasizing the personal ties he has with the community-centered establishment. Martin continued, “The gym is very important to the community, because somebody like me can stay in it, what I’ve became today, run the gym, and help get better and that’s what it’s all about.”
Seating its roots at the current location on Governors Drive since 2005, Rocket City Boxing Gym has been a bastion of fitness and discipline for local residents. With the changing times, however, the gym is all set for a refreshing start.
“We’re real excited about the changes coming real soon, we’re leaving this location. A great home for us for twenty years since 2005, 2006. It’s time for a new leaf, a new change and we’re all excited about it,” said Martin, mirroring the overall upbeat attitude of the gym staff and patrons concerning the move.
Rocket City Boxing Gym offers unique options that cater to a variety of health and fitness needs. Their services include small group training, personal training, teen athletics, and popular heavy bag boxing classes.
These extensive offerings allow the gym to serve a vast community, fostering a sense of togetherness and camaraderie. With the move to the new location, the gym plans to continue and enhance its service offerings.
