Huntsville, Alabama, is buzzing with excitement as the city hosts its 12th annual Restaurant Week. This special week offers food lovers the perfect opportunity to explore a variety of local eateries and make the most out of their dining experiences.
With the growth of Huntsville, numerous culinary spots have emerged. This week, participating restaurants are offering their best menus at discounted prices, making it an ideal time for residents and visitors alike to uncover new flavors. Local business co-owner, Stephanie Kennedy-Mell, emphasizes the importance of stepping out of your comfort zone during this week. “Restaurant week is a great time to either experience a brand new restaurant you haven’t been to, or go back to that restaurant that maybe deserves that second chance,” she said.
Kennedy-Mell, co-owner of Church Street Hospitality and Restaurants, encourages diners to revisit eateries they may not have enjoyed previously. “There’s those people who think ‘oh my gosh, restaurant week… I’m going to be able to try something, and it’s at a great price…’ and then we get to wow them,” she noted. She believes that small businesses often don’t receive the second chances they deserve, explaining that many owners pour their heart and soul into their establishments.
According to Jennifer Moore, the CEO of the Huntsville-Madison County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, this week serves as a showcase of the remarkable culinary diversity in the city. “There’s over 77 restaurants that are participating in restaurant week, and no matter what kind of food you like, there should be an option for everyone,” Moore mentioned. This plethora of choices allows diners to broaden their culinary horizons and support local talent at the same time.
As Huntsville’s Restaurant Week unfolds, it presents an exciting opportunity to taste, discover, and fall in love with the local dining scene. Whether trying something entirely new or giving a second chance to a familiar spot, diners are encouraged to take advantage of this delicious week.
