The festivities kicked off on April 21 at the iconic U.S. Space & Rocket Center from 5:30 to 8 p.m. A fantastic gathering kicked off the week-long celebration where over 50 sailors descended upon Huntsville to participate in various activities and outreach programs aimed at strengthening community bonds.
A Week Filled with Fun and Community Spirit
Navy Week is packed with an array of exciting events designed to engage the public. On April 22, get ready to roll up your sleeves for an Earth Day Cleanup from 4-6 p.m. You’ll have the chance to meet the talented Stickmasters-Huntsville Community Drumline between 5:15 and 7:15 p.m. If you’re a baseball fan, don’t miss the chance to watch the sailors join in the fun at the Military Night with the Rocket City Trash Pandas from 5-8 p.m.
Celebrating History and Service
On April 23, the sailors will honor the Navy’s birthday with a special gathering at the Floyd E. “Tut” Fann State Veterans Home from 2-3 p.m. It’s a heartfelt way to remember those who have served before us.
