Huntsville’s Valentina’s Pizzeria Combines Election Spirit and Pizza Fun with Themed Boxes

Huntsville’s Valentina’s Pizzeria Serving Up Election Fun with Themed Pizza Boxes

As the November 5 presidential election approaches, folks over in Huntsville, Alabama are in for a treat, quite literally! Valentina’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar, a local favorite, is combining the spirit of democracy with the joy of pizza in a delightful and humorous way. The pizzeria is introducing limited-edition, election-themed pizza boxes that are sure to leave you smiling while you enjoy your favorite pie.

Election Boxes That Bring a Smile

So, what’s the deal with these quirky pizza boxes? Well, each box showcases vibrant cartoon graphics that have been designed by an Australian company called Pizza Bib. The illustrations on the boxes don’t hold back in portraying some of today’s hottest political figures with a twist of humor. Picture this: Donald Trump shouting “Make pizza great again!”, Kamala Harris depicted as a She-Grinch with the words “How dare we say Merry Christmas.” There’s also Kid Rock waving an American flag while clutching a beer, alongside other A-listers like Elon Musk, Dana White, Oprah Winfrey, and George Clooney, all cheering on as Trump and Harris face off in a mixed martial arts octagon!

A Little Something for Everyone

The beauty of this promotion is that customers can choose between a blue box or a red box, representing the Democratic or Republican parties. However, you won’t find any differences in the designs themselves—the playful graphics remain the same. It’s all about which side of the political spectrum you feel like supporting, while indulging in delicious pizza!

Owner Joe Carlucci mentioned in a fun Instagram video, “We know it’s a tense race. We just want to have some fun with pizza because pizza brings the world together and brings peace to everybody.” He added, “If this offends you in any way, then you are the problem. And we would still love you to come in, but you are the issue in the world because it is pizza. It is a box.” This lighthearted approach is all about enjoying good food and poking fun at the current political climate.

Engage and Win Free Pizza!

And here’s an even better twist! Valentina’s is encouraging customers to snap selfies with their election-themed pizza boxes. Thanks to a half-oval cutout on the lid, you can literally become part of the box! To join the fun, simply take a picture of yourself behind the raised lid, post it on Instagram or Facebook, and tag the restaurant. On November 6, they’ll announce a winner for the best photo, who will get free pizza for a week. Now that’s a reward worth working for!

Recognition and Awards

But it’s not just about the promotional fun. Valentina’s has recently made waves on a grand scale! Just last week, 50 Top Pizza, a well-respected pizza ranking website from Italy, listed Valentina’s at 31st place in their ‘50 Top Pizza USA 2024’. Making it even sweeter, they were the only pizzeria from Alabama to earn a spot on that prestigious list. Locally, they are recognized for their signature pie, “The Godfather,” voted as one of Huntsville’s five essential pizzas.

With accolades piling up, it’s clear that Carlucci is truly a master of his craft. He holds several records, including the Guinness World Record for the highest pizza toss, and is recognized as the “2023 Pizza Maker of the Year.”

Join the Fun at Valentina’s

As you gear up to cast your vote, don’t forget to grab a slice (or two) from Valentina’s Pizzeria & Wine Bar. Whether you’re voting blue or red, there’s something for everyone wrapped up in the excitement of this unique promotion. Who knew that voting could taste so good?
