Shane Davis, the city’s Director of Urban & Economic Development, has emphasized that the bridge’s design will undergo rigorous testing, including wind tunnel assessments, before construction can begin.

City Council member Jennie Robinson noted the significance of the bridge in bridging the community effectively. “The parkway just divides our community, and we can’t get from here to there,” Robinson stated, stressing that the Skybridge represents an important step towards unifying the areas separated by the major roadway.
