News Summary

The case of missing Huntsville realtor Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr. has escalated into an active abduction investigation after new evidence emerged. Dumas was last seen entering a liquor store on December 15, 2024, and his abandoned car was later found in Tennessee. With three suspects being investigated and a $10,000 reward offered by his family, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as they broaden their search efforts.

Huntsville Real Estate Agent’s Disappearance Now Under Active Investigation for Abduction

In the heart of Huntsville, Alabama, the chilling disappearance of local realtor Ronald Leslie Dumas Jr., 37, has taken a dramatic turn that has friends and family on edge. Initially reported missing on December 15, 2024, the case has been upgraded from a simple missing person investigation to a serious active abduction investigation. Authorities have uncovered new evidence that suggests something is amiss, raising the stakes and drawing increased attention to the case.

The Night Ronald Went Missing

Ronald was last spotted on that fateful night entering a liquor store around 10:30 PM with two women. Eyewitnesses reported that he seemed unharmed as he left the store, which added a puzzle piece to this unfolding mystery. However, shortly after this seemingly normal encounter, Ronald vanished without a trace.

His loved ones didn’t waste any time; a missing persons report was filed two days later on December 17, and by December 23, he was officially listed on the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) missing persons list.

The Discovery of Ronald’s Car

In a twist that raises further suspicion, Ronald’s car was found abandoned on December 16 along I-40 near mile marker 133 in Camden, Tennessee. This empty vehicle left investigators with more questions than answers, prompting them to dig deeper into the circumstances surrounding Ronald’s disappearance.

Identifying Suspects

As the investigation progressed, police uncovered some troubling backgrounds among three suspects: Quintarius Shikelion White, 32; Kierra Symone Clark, 27; and Toure Laron McLaurin, 33. Each of these individuals has a checkered past involving serious charges, including kidnapping.

Notably, White was indicted earlier in February 2024 for charges related to a kidnapping and assault case that occurred in 2023. His history includes previous arrest for kidnapping. Additionally, both Clark and White have been arrested in connection with a horrifying incident involving the alleged kidnapping of a mother and child for sex trafficking. As for McLaurin, his past includes arrests for a series of serious offenses like kidnapping and robbery.

Potential Search Area

The investigation team is not sitting idle; they have pinpointed a potential search area of around 450 acres stretching south of Memphis into northern Mississippi. This location might provide crucial leads as authorities continue their search.

Cell Phone Tracking

Adding another layer to the investigation, cell phone tracking indicates that Ronald’s phone traveled westbound on I-40 towards Jackson, Tennessee, shortly after he was last spotted. It later showed evidence of moving south from Memphis on December 21, stirring concern amongst investigators regarding his current whereabouts.

Law Enforcement Collaboration

In tackling this complex case, the Huntsville Police Department is collaborating closely with the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force and the FBI. Combining their resources and expertise, law enforcement is pulling out all the stops to find Ronald and return him safely to his worried family.

Frustration from the Family

Ronald’s family has publicly expressed their distress, particularly regarding how slowly authorities acted on warnings about his potential danger. They feel their concerns weren’t taken seriously early on, leaving them feeling powerless.

A Reward for Information

In hopes of gaining valuable leads, Ronald’s family is offering a reward of $10,000 for any information that might lead to his whereabouts. But the clock is ticking—the offer expires in three weeks.

Get Involved

Authorities are urging anyone who might have information regarding Ronald’s location or the suspects involved to step forward. Individuals can contact Investigator Stephen Gibbs at 256-427-5448 or submit anonymous tips to Huntsville Area Crimestoppers at 53-CRIME. Every tip counts and could make a difference in the search for Ronald Dumas Jr.

This case is evolving rapidly, and the community of Huntsville is rallying together, hoping for the safe return of a beloved realtor and family man. Keep your eyes and ears open, and let’s help bring Ronald home.
