Five people were shot in a Sunday night incident at the 708 Bar and Grille in Huntsville, Alabama. The shooting took place off Poplar Avenue, with the 911 call coming in just before 10:30 p.m. Authorities have reported that two individuals sustained life-threatening injuries, while three others suffered non-life-threatening wounds. All five victims, who were patrons of the establishment, were men between the ages of 29 and 40.
According to Deputy Chief Michael Johnson, police are currently in the process of investigating the incident and are actively seeking leads to apprehend the shooter. Despite efforts by investigators, initial leads have proven to be challenging to come by. Johnson stated, “Everyone that was contacted by officers or investigators at the scene last night said they ‘didn’t see anything’ or were not forthcoming with information. However, our investigators are still working hard to get answers.”
Following an overnight surgery, one of the victims remains in critical condition but is deemed stable. Fortunately, the individual is expected to survive. The remaining four victims are in the process of being discharged from the hospital as they continue their recovery.
