Huntsville Murder Suspect Claims Self Defense in Bond Order

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.

A man charged with murder claimed self defense in court documents obtained by WAFF. Jametric Collier, 38, is accused of murder in an April 16 shooting on Hillandale Road. Court documents reveal that Collier will be held at the Madison County Jail without bond. Collier admitted to killing the victim, but claimed self defense in the case.

Victim Shot Eight Times, No Weapon Found

Court documents also reveal that the victim was shot eight times. No weapon was found on the victim, Collier claimed. The order also said Collier and his family were staying in a hotel and they moved out the morning after the shooting.
