As the holidays draw near, Huntsville is coming to life with an amazing lineup of family-friendly activities that promise to keep everyone in the holiday spirit. Whether you’re looking to enjoy some dazzling lights, indulge in festive cocktails, or simply bask in the joyful atmosphere, there’s something for everyone this season!

🎄 Bridge Street Town Centre Lights Up the Holiday Season

Mark your calendars for the 15th Annual Lights Up holiday lighting event, taking place on November 22 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Bridge Street Town Centre. This festive celebration features live performances, delightful holiday characters, and even a special appearance by the man in red himself, Santa Claus, as he lights up a magnificent 45-foot tree! Best of all, it’s a free event benefitting the local nonprofit Kids to Love.

🌟 Galaxy of Lights Awaits You!

The Huntsville Botanical Garden is turning into a winter wonderland with its Galaxy of Lights celebration from November 15 to December 31. You can take a stroll during Walking Nights from November 15 to December 1, and Dec. 4–8 or enjoy driving through the lights from Dec. 9–17 and after Christmas. And yes, there are special Dog Nights where your furry friends are welcome on select dates for just $5!

🎉 Miracle at MidCity is a Must-Visit

From November 29 to December 24, The Camp at MidCity transforms into a festive paradise with the Miracle at MidCity. Expect a delightful mix of festive cocktails, live music, cozy fire pits, and a sprinkle of holiday magic with special guest appearances by Santa Claus!

🌲 Celebrate at Winterville

The Holiday Market at Redstone Arsenal is bubbling with fun on December 7 from 1 to 8 p.m. Join in the festivities with a tree-lighting ceremony, delicious food and gluhwein, and even get your picture taken with Mr. and Mrs. Claus. The event is completely free and offers endless activities for kids, including a Kidpreneur pop-up market.

🎈 Festivities in Downtown Athens

Don’t miss the Athens-Limestone County Christmas Parade on December 5 at 6 p.m., which is free to attend, as well as the Athens-Limestone Tinsel Trail lighting up Big Spring Memorial Park from November 21 to December 31.

🦌 Enjoy 12 Nights of Santa!

From December 12 to 23, children can meet Santa each night at the EarlyWorks Museum and engage in holiday crafts and science experiments. Be sure to grab your tickets online!

✨ Candlelight Christmas at Burritt on the Mountain

Experience a traditional Christmas atmosphere at the Candlelight Christmas from December 7 to 9. Enjoy live music, holiday crafts, and even a special visit from Kris Kringle himself! Tickets are available for both members and the general public.

🎆 Rocket City Christmas Light Show

Starting November 22, head over to Toyota Field for the stunning Rocket City Christmas Light Show. Drive through a mile and a half of twinkling lights and enjoy “Santa’s Beach Party” theme, open nightly until December 29.

🎊 Big Spring Jingle Delight

The Big Spring Jingle is set to take place on December 20 at Big Spring Park West, with festivities running from 4 to 9 p.m. Enjoy a relaxed experience with special needs accessibility from 4 to 5 p.m., so everyone can partake in the fun!

🥳 Fun for the Little Ones at Tiny Tot Turkey Trot

On November 28 at 9 a.m., little racers under 5 can participate in the Tiny Tot Turkey Trot—no sign up required! They can race against Tina Turkey, a giant turkey mascot. How fun is that?

🎭 Don’t Miss the Dickens Christmas Fair

On December 20, experience a charming Dickensian Christmas at the Orion Amphitheater from 5 to 7 p.m. Sample traditional fare, sip festive drinks, and enjoy live holiday performances that you won’t want to miss!
