Well, hold on to your hard hats, because home construction is absolutely booming here! Those numbers might just give you the urge to grab a hammer and join in on the fun.
Overall, new construction in the Huntsville area has reached a staggering total of 92.4 million dollars. Talk about progress! Out of all this construction, Davidson Homes stands out as the superstar of the area. They’ve been issued 42 permits totaling around 9.1 million dollars since mid-March. Simply incredible! Other major players include Woodland Homes with seven permits worth over 4 million dollars, and Lennar Homes, who racked up 17 permits worth about 3 million dollars.
Meanwhile, Stone Martin Builders and DR Horton are also making notable contributions to the construction scene. Stone Martin Builders received seven permits for 2.2 million dollars, while DR Horton was awarded 12 permits totaling 1.6 million dollars.
Other noteworthy mentions include Rausch Coleman Homes with 15 permits worth 1.5 million dollars, and several other builders joining the fray, contributing to this bustling atmosphere.
Let’s talk a bit more about Davidson Homes, the frontrunner in this mega construction race. They’re working on some attractive projects in the Meadows subdivision in Athens, with homes priced between 160,000 and 250,000 dollars. There are also homes on Lisa Lane in southeast Decatur valued around 300,000 dollars. The excitement doesn’t stop here. They’re building homes on Fall Meadow Drive in Huntsville worth 284,000 dollars, and even a flashy 425,000-dollar home on Ginsburg Road in Madison. Plus, there are even more homes being constructed in Toney, Meridianville, Hazel Green, and New Market valued between 200,000 and 350,000 dollars. Talk about choice!
Woodland Homes is also pulling their weight by building a striking 550,000-dollar home on Arbor Trail in Madison, alongside several other high-value projects like a 736,000-dollar home on Idle Creek Drive and additional builds on Trackside Trail and Maple Branch Court, all of which are climbing into the seven figures!
Lennar Homes isn’t lagging either. They’re busy constructing homes valued at less than 200,000 dollars in Whisper Woods and Lucas Ferry Farms, while also working on homes priced between 225,000 and 300,000 dollars on Ashby Pond Drive in Harvest and Exeter Street in Huntsville.
It’s not just residential properties getting the green light. The Madison County Commission recently approved a 3 million-dollar project for the Morgan County Farmers Market in Decatur. And, if you’re more into commercial real estate, you’ll be excited to know that eleven commercial projects have topped the 1 million dollar mark since mid-March. That shows just how vibrant the economy is around here!
