HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Exciting times lie ahead for Huntsville shoppers as Food City started construction of not just one, but two new locations within the city today.
Revealed today, the new supermarket stores will be situated on Memorial Pkwy and Governor’s Drive, expected to dramatically increase the city’s retail space. The new stores will incorporate over 32,000 square feet of retail space each and are forecast to open their doors to the public next year.
The new Food City stores promise an enhanced shopping experience for local residents, featuring an in-store bakery and deli, alongside a hot food bar and a café with seating area. With these additions, customers are set to enjoy a convenient and pleasant shopping outing at each of the supermarket venues.
This makes the total number of Food City locations in Huntsville to three. The retail giant already has an existing location positioned in Owens Cross Roads, at the intersection of Taylor Lane and Highway 431.
Ambitiously, the supermarket chain has unveiled plans to open a total of six locations within the city over the next few years. With the standard of customer experience Food City offers, it’s no wonder they’re rapidly expanding their footprint in the region.
Aside from providing increased shopping options for Huntsville residents, the new Food City locations are expected to be an economical boost for the city. The supermarkets are expected to create a considerable number of new jobs, contributing to the city’s employment and local economy.
Today’s groundbreaking ceremony marks a significant milestone for Food City’s expansion in Huntsville and opens a new chapter in the city’s retail sector. Residents eagerly anticipate the opening of these new locations next year.
