Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy Summer Camps Open in Madison

As the warmer months approach, Madison is gearing up to host several summer camps by Fantasy Playhouse Children’s Theater & Academy at Bob Jones High School. The camps, which range from one-day to three-week sessions, will provide an exciting opportunity for children and young teens to immerse themselves in the world of theatre.

What’s in Store?

Offering both full- and half-day camps, the academy’s experienced faculty aim at fostering an environment where students can grow, not just as artists, but also as individuals. The camp serves to enhance their physical, mental and imaginative capabilities while emphasizing the core skills of acting, movement, voice, dance and improvisation.

Variety of Themes

The Fantasy Playhouse has arranged an extensive lineup of different themes for each week of the camps. With options ranging from ‘Broadway Bootcamp’, ‘Heroes vs Villains!’, and ‘Fables and Fairytales’ in early June, to ‘Barbie’s Life in The Dreamhouse’, ‘Bluey & Bingo Summer Vacation’ in late June and the further extent of ‘Super Mario Summer’, ‘The Eras Camp: Taylor Swift’, ‘The Greatest Showman Camp’ and ‘The Woes of Wednesday Addams’ towards the end of the month; there is quite a diversity in the creative flavours on offer.

Advanced Camps for Teenagers

For the slightly older age group between 13 and 18 years, there are some advanced camps such as ‘Little Women 2: Wrath of the Undead (One-Act Teen Showcase)’ happening in July followed by ‘High School Musical JR’, an Advanced Musical Showcase. A Jr. Tech Theatre camp will simultaneously run which would give the students hands-on experience of prop and set construction, sound and lighting design and costume design.

Registration and Additional Information

Interest among the youth is already high and those keen on registering for the summer camp should do so at the earliest. While the camp does not provide food or drink, students attending for full days are expected to bring their own lunch without peanuts or tree-nuts. Further details about the individual camp elements, timings and pricing can be sought by contacting the Fantasy’s education director.

A Summer of Creativity

Ina world where digital screens overwhelmingly dominate, these summer camps prove to be a refreshing break. They offer the chance for young minds to creatively express themselves, learn new skills, build confidence and create unforgettable memories. The vibrant and diverse themes of the camps at Fantasy Playhouse in Madison seem to be setting the perfect stage for an unforgettable summer of creativity and imagination.
