Held at the picturesque Von Braun Center Saturn Ballroom, the event drew in more than 1,300 enthusiastic attendees from across the region, making it a memorable occasion.

Organized by the Delta Theta Lambda Education Foundation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the event was a celebration of Dr. King’s values, reminding everyone of the importance of leadership, equality, and social justice.

The proceeds from this heartwarming breakfast play a pivotal role in the mission of the Delta Theta Lambda Education Foundation. Each year, they generously award over $25,000 in scholarships to hardworking high school seniors, helping to pave their way towards higher education and brighter futures.
Part of the foundation’s strong commitment to bettering the community also involves a dedicated mentoring program for young boys aged 14 to 18. This initiative provides guidance, support, and resources that cultivate the next generation of leaders. Additionally, the foundation aligns with various national programs from Alpha Phi Alpha, further extending their outreach.
Since its inception in 1906, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. has been at the forefront of promoting educational advancement and civil rights within the African-American community. The impact of their work can be felt far and wide, particularly among local youth who aspire to do great things.
Robert Drake, representing Alpha Phi Alpha, shared that Dr. King’s legacy transcends boundaries, symbolizing unity and equality for all—not just for specific groups.
