Huntsville’s Lewter District Set to Welcome Brick & Tin Restaurant

Huntsville Welcomes a New Dining Delight: Brick & Tin

Exciting news for food lovers in Huntsville! The popular Birmingham-based restaurant, Brick & Tin, is setting its sights on our city, and the buzz is already building. Owner Mauricio Papapietro has confirmed that Brick & Tin will soon occupy the historic hardware store space at the ground level of the newly revitalized Lewter District. Construction is slated to kick off early next year, so it won’t be too long before locals can experience what this beloved eatery has to offer.

A Fresh Take on a Historic Space

The move to Brick & Tin’s new location not only signifies growth for the restaurant but also highlights its commitment to preserving local history. The proposed space is both charming and historic, aligning perfectly with Papapietro’s vision. “With all the growth and new construction happening in Huntsville, it was a challenge to find a historic space in a good location that also provided everything we require for Brick & Tin,” he shared. And it seems they’ve hit the jackpot!

The restaurant will boast a spacious 5,500-square-foot interior and exterior, designed to host up to 70 guests inside and another 46 outside. This means plenty of room for enjoying leisurely lunches and vibrant dinners, whether you’re with friends or flying solo. The new atmosphere is expected to exude a beachy vibe, featuring a light color palette and open spaces that seamlessly blend the indoor and outdoor dining experiences. “We hope to attract strong lunch business from the surrounding offices and medical center, dinner business from the historic neighborhoods surrounding the city center, and loft-dwellers within the central business district,” added Papapietro.

The Menu That Everyone Loves

One of the most exciting aspects about Brick & Tin is its menu, which will mirror the delectable offerings from their Birmingham location. Known for its fresh ingredients and unique flavor combinations, the restaurant has already carved a niche among those who appreciate quality dining. Whether you’re in the mood for a hearty sandwich or a healthy salad, there’s something on the menu for everyone at Brick & Tin.

A Team Effort for a Bright Future

To make this vision a reality, Papapietro is collaborating with several reputable firms, including Poole & Co. Architects, Blydan Built, RNGD Construction, and Formwork Development. This impressive lineup of experienced professionals suggests that the transition from the planning stage to reality will be smooth and efficient. Their goal? To create a space that not only serves delicious food but also celebrates the rich history of the Lewter District.

A Heartfelt Commitment to the Community

As Huntsville continues to grow and evolve, Papapietro’s commitment to the community shines through in his thoughtful selection of this location. “Checking all of our boxes, while also being in a beautiful, historic building with a deep history in the historic town center, makes this the perfect location,” he remarked, clearly excited about what’s to come.

The transformation of the historic hardware store into a lively dining spot resonates with the desire to merge past and present, and it promises to become a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Expect plenty of activity as the construction begins and word spreads about this new culinary adventure!

So, mark your calendars and keep an eye out for updates as Brick & Tin gears up to become one of Huntsville’s hottest new dining spots. It’s an exciting time for our community, and it’s reassuring to know that great food and a vibrant atmosphere are just around the corner!
