Jitney’s Journeys Auctions Artwork to Benefit Lincoln Village Ministry

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.

In an admirable act of philanthropy, local artist Whitney Todd of Jitney’s Journeys is auctioning off her live painted artwork to support Lincoln Village Ministry. The artwork, titled “Bright Summer Florals”, was painted live on Tennessee Valley Living and is now up for bidding. The painting is valued at $540.

Auction for a Cause

Todd is no stranger to the community and is well-known for her vibrant art pieces that often evoke feelings of joy and remind viewers of the natural beauty surrounding them. This auction includes the piece she painted live on television, demonstrating her process and the meticulous detail that goes into each of her creations. Now, this painting could be yours as she auctions it off to the highest bidder.

To place bids on this unique piece of art, potential buyers are encouraged to visit Whitney’s Instagram page. The rules of the auction are simple: bidding starts at $100 and must increase in $10 increments. The auction ends tonight at 7:00 PM CST. The winner will be notified after the auction ends and must be able to pick up the piece at Lincoln Village in Huntsville, as shipping is not available for this artwork. All bids must be submitted via Instagram comments and Jitney’s Journeys will not dock accepting requests via DM, Facebook or email.

Support Lincoln Village Ministry

All proceeds from the auction will go directly towards Lincoln Village Ministry, an organization in Huntsville devoted to community revitalization. The ministry provides a range of services for residents including education, housing improvement, and community building efforts. They are committed to transforming, preserving, and serving the community, and Todd’s auction will directly support these efforts.

Failure to submit a full payment within 24 hours will result in the painting going to the next highest bidder. This rule ensures that the bidding remains fair and continues until there is a definitive winner.

It’s not everyday one gets the chance to own a unique piece of art while simultaneously supporting an important local cause. Interested participants are urged to place their bids before the closure of the auction tonight.

The Artist and Her Commitment to the Community
