Alabama Counselor Arrested for Alleged Sexual Contact with Student

A counselor assigned to a high school in north Alabama has been arrested on charges of having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19. The incident came to light when Isaac Munoz, 37, was taken into custody by Madison police on Friday. The Madison City Schools district, where Munoz was employed, has since terminated his services.

Isaac Munoz, a counselor assigned to James Clemens High School, was charged with one count of being a school employee having sexual contact with a student under 19 years old. The allegations of improper contact by Munoz surfaced on April 29, 2024, and were promptly reported to the Madison Police Department. Following his arrest, he was immediately removed from his position with Madison City Schools.

Employment Details

While Munoz was not a direct employee of Madison City Schools, he was assigned to provide counseling services to students at James Clemens High School through an agreement between the district and The Enrichment Center, a nonprofit organization. However, in light of the allegations and subsequent arrest, Munoz is no longer affiliated with The Enrichment Center.
