Three years ago, Mayor Paul Finley decided it was time to liven things up. In partnership with the Madison Chamber of Commerce, he created Celebrate Madison, an event designed to foster excitement and connection among residents. “Information is power, and we want to transfer that power to our community in every facet that we can,” Mayor Finley expressed.
This spirit of community engagement has taken root, allowing the city to share vital information in a fun and festive atmosphere. Think hot dogs, face painting, and even fireworks! According to Michelle Epling, president of the Madison Chamber of Commerce, the event’s attendance has more than doubled since moving to Toyota Field. The first 300 attendees will enjoy free hot dogs, soda, and ice cream, with more food available for purchase after supplies run out. Sounds like a great way to spend an evening!

From whimsical fairy hair provided by Rocket City Mom to character meet-and-greets for the kids, there’s something for everyone. A Time to Honor and Recognize
The evening will also include heartwarming moments, such as recognizing local heroes. One highlight will be the presentation of a check from Madison City Schools as part of their Supporting Our Students Campaign, aimed at assisting students with essentials and extracurricular fees. Another poignant moment will be the announcement of the second annual Military Family of the Year Award, made possible through the generous sponsorship of Signalink, a veteran-owned business.
