Bid Raised to $65 Million in Renewed Attempt to Procure BSC Campus
Huntsville, Ala – The renowned Alabama A&M University (AAMU) has recently put forth for the second time an offer to purchase the campus of Birmingham-Southern College (BSC). The announcement came soon after an accumulated second proposal had been submitted to the concerned authorities of BSC on June 14, with a substantial bid of $65 million, marking an increase from an initial offer of $52 million made early in May of this year.
Investment into Future Prospects
The previously announced bid entailed a strategic plan to render an investment of $22 million in direct cash, followed by another $30 million allocated towards various construction and maintenance enhancements, which are considered quintessential to initiate full-fledged operations and reopening of the campus premises.
