Introduction

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Time is running out to give your child an opportunity to participate in the prestigious Space Camp at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center this summer. There are only a few open spots left for this unique learning experience, recognized globally for its quality and rigor.

Space Camp Offerings This Summer

Space Camp, which has produced over one million alumni, provides an immersive experience based on NASA astronaut training. The program is largely designed to develop teamwork and leadership skills in children between the ages of 9 and 18. It also offers programs to adult space enthusiasts, families, and educators.

Aside from the popular Space Camp, there are still some last-minute open spots for Aviation Camp and Cyber Camp available. These specialized programs allow children to explore their interests and ignite passion for STEAM education. Participants can have a feel of real-life astronaut training and a first-hand experience of how Cybersecurity works.

Additional Offers and Attractions

Even beyond the camps, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center has a lot to offer this summer. It has an exclusive offer for dads to get in for free during the Father’s Day weekend (with the purchase of one admission). The same offer extends to those who have served in the military, in honor of the Armed Forces Week.

The Center also hosts a range of hands-on educational programs for museum visitors. The offerings include Spark!Lab, Maker Monday, a STEAM Literature series, and STEM on stage. These initiatives provide even more opportunities for children to enrich their learning this summer.

New Attraction at the Center

The Center houses a new movie at the INTUITIVE® Planetarium named “James Webb Space Telescope: The Story Unfolds.” This film affords the audience an opportunity to learn about the James Webb Space Telescope, the most powerful telescope ever built, and its exploration of the universe. The film showcases breathtaking visuals of galaxies, the life cycle of stars, and distant celestial bodies, thereby offering an immersive education experience to viewers.

Overall, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center has curated a bundle of offerings that firmly places it as a favorite destination, both for education and entertainment this summer. Whether your interest lies in space, aviation, robotics, or just having a fun educational outing, there is something for everyone at the Center.
