Search underway in Huntsville for murder victim’s missing dog

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – A search is underway in North Huntsville to find a murder victim’s missing dog. The dog named Princess also went by the nickname Baby Girl. She had been taken in by Ernie Bragg, one of two men killed last week in a home on Mt. Charron Road. The dog ran from that scene.

A group called Lost Paws is working to find the dog. They hope someone sees something to help them find the missing dog. But they don’t want a lot of people canvassing the neighborhood. Neighbors in the Mount Charron community are still reeling following a double murder that happened just after midnight Wednesday.

Help from Lost Paws Organization

“It’s kind of counterintuitive how you catch dogs, too many people around will scare the dog off and make the dog run off somewhere else and that’s the last thing we need,” said Beth Beck, founder of Lost Paws. “We want the dog to stay there.” Fliers are up in the neighborhood with phone numbers to call if anyone spots the missing dog.

Suspect Arrested for Murder of Ernie Bragg and Daniel Jones

Maurice D’Antonio Chatman was arrested for allegedly murdering Bragg along with Daniel Jones. The search for Princess, the missing dog, is ongoing as community members hope for her safe return.
