Meridianvillle Middle School Employee Hospitalized After Student Assault

An employee at Meridianvillle Middle School was admitted to the hospital following an assault by a student on campus. The incident took place on Monday morning as confirmed by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
The school employee decided to seek medical attention on their own after the assault, leading to the cancellation of an ambulance that was en route to the campus. The student involved in the assault was subsequently transported to a juvenile detention center.
When reached out for comment, the school system responded by stating, “Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any information regarding a possible incident at Meridianville Middle School that occurred on Monday. Please understand that it is also MCSS policy to maintain confidentiality with regard to both personnel matters and student disciplinary outcomes.”
