Hey food lovers in Madison County! It’s that time again when we get a sneak peek into how our local restaurants and food establishments fared during the latest health inspections. From February 18 to 21, 2025, the Madison County Health Department performed checks to ensure our favorite spots follow those all-important food safety rules.

Perfection Achieved!

Here’s the delightful news: a whopping 13 establishments scored a perfect 100 points! This perfect score means these places are doing something right when it comes to complying with food safety and hygiene regulations. It’s always comforting to know that some of our favorite spots are maintaining such high standards.

Not-So-Great Scores

  • Saki’s Food Mart – 79 (February 18, 2025)
  • Las Trojas University Drive AL LLC – 82 (February 18, 2025)
  • Turkey’s Barbecue – 84 (February 21, 2025)

Clearly, these spots could use a little boost in their food safety practices. We’re sure they’ll be working to improve their scores next time around!

A Solid Performance with Scores from 90-95

  • Bruegger’s Bagels #3834 had issues with dirty coffee urn nozzles.
  • Saki’s Food Mart had multiple violations that raised concerns.
  • Taco Bell #037461 was found with dirty tea nozzles.
  • And other establishments had things like blocked sinks and improper chemical storage near food.
